Description: | Yellow-metallic pyrite crystals exhibiting rare filiform habit of elongated rectangles to 6.5 mm on translucent calcite that fluoresces under SW UV illumination with smaller cubo-octahedral pyrite crystals to 1.5 mm in a cavity at the top. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #179, collected in the 1970s by a construction worker at the site. |
