Locality:Central Highland Belt, near Ratnapura, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon)
Description:Di-pyramidal hexagonal transparent pink sapphire crystal, the gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with thin blue zone at the termination face on one end. The crystal faces have complex swirling crystallization patterns (from surrounding mica?).
