Locality:Twin Buttes Mine, Pima County, Arizona
Description:Large cleavage of colorless selenite, the transparent variety of the mineral gypsum, with metallic native copper crystals to 3 mm included in the selenite around the perimeter. The selenite prevents the copper from oxidizing.
