Description: | Unusually large cluster of translucent-to-transparent smoky quartz crystals to 40 mm overgrown on platy albite, variety cleavelandite with a quartz-rich crystallized pocket clay between the quartz crystals. The quartz crystals have textured surfaces. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #173, collected in the 1960s-70s. |
