Description: | Lustrous prismatic translucent greenish-brown vesuvianite crystals in a shallow cavity in massive crystallized vesuvianite with a smaller crystal-lined cavity on the rear. A good specimen from the famous vesuvianite locality first described in 1848. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #276, collected in the 70s |
