Description: | Pristine doubly-terminated microcline crystal mounted to a mahogany base for display (the base may be removed by soaking in water to soften the glue). The microcline crystal was a phenocrysts (frozen in solid granite) that naturally weathered out. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1970s by his son. |
