Locality: | Gillette Quarry, Haddam Neck, Middlesex County, Connecticut |
Description: | Lustrous transparent bi-colored 30 mm elbaite tourmaline crystal, in the side of a lustrous transparent 50 mm smoky quartz crystal, with three partial elbaite crystals. The main elbaite crystal is green with a 8 mm yellow termination zone. Mined in 1905 by Ernest Schernikow. Ex. American Museum of Natural History #12387; traded to Conklin in 1967; ex.
