Description: | Cluster of uncommonly large doubly-terminated lustrous translucent dark smoky quartz crystals from an obscure locality. The inner quartz is dark smoky color with an outer late-growth zone of medium-gray. The smoky quartz crystal is complete all around. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 70s. Found in the float below the famous Moose Pocket discovered by Peter Samuelson in 1988. |
