Description: | Lustrous dark green-black elbaite tourmaline crystal with striated prism faces and the-faces pyramidal termination. Cahn listed it as from Gillette Quarry, but Jarnot (an expert on Connecticut minerals) corrected the locality to the Brainerd Quarry. Ex. Bruce Jarnot collection; ex. Ex. Lazard Cahn (1865-1940) |
