Locality:Blake Plateau, east of Georgia coast, Atlantic Ocean
Description:Large nodule of manganese-oxide recovered from the ocean bottom during research. There is a crevice on the surface on half of the nodule, but it does not run completely through the nodule. Collected in 1970 by Duke University research vessel RV Eastward
