Description: | Black silicified lignite (fossilized wood) with colorless quartz crystals to 1 mm running in linear patterns through the lignite. Accompanied by a letter stating the provenance (incorrectly labeling it as charcoal, which is wood burned without oxygen). Collected in 1960 by Jack Byron |
