Description: | Part of a transparent kunzite crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral species spodumene, with striated prism faces and complex terminations. The rear and sides were sawn flat, possibly by gem cutters extracting the cuttable sections. Ex. B. Gaber collection #923; ex. Richard V. Gaines (1917-1999), co-author of Dana's Mineralogy 8th ed. |
