Description: | Unusual formation of lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 15 mm in a layer over hemispherical eye formation of concentrically banded gray quartz agate. Normally these formations are sawn and polished to create a banded eye agate. Ex. John Durkos #842, originally acquired in 1976 from Dieter Schupp in memory of father, Kurt Schupp (of Brazil) |
