Description:Translucent-to-transparent colorless cryolite, the principle ore of aluminum, with scattered dark sphalerite inclusions. An historic specimen from this famous mine that originally opened in 1854, collected ca. 1880s. Ex. A. Lincoln Sherk II, MD. (1896-1970)
