Description: | Brown-metallic pyrite pseudomorphs after platy hexagonal pyrrhotite crystals to 20 mm with limonite-stained quartz crystals to 10 mm overgrown on the pseudomorphs. The pyrrhotite formed first, then altered to pyrite, but keeping the original shape. Ex. B. Gaber collection #748 |
