Locality:Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada
Description:Lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals in parallel orientation. The amethyst crystals have internal phantom-growth zones of deeper purple color and spherical red-brown microscopic hematite inclusions in the termination faces. Collected ca. 1950
