Locality:Arusha, Tanzania
Description:Translucent pinkish-red ruby crystal, the red-pink gem variety of the mineral species corundum, in green micaceous zoisite crystals. The ruby crystal has concentric bands visible the result of internal twinning. One face is sawn and polished. Ex. Collezione Mineralogica Nereo Niveo Biondi (Trieste), dated 1969
