Locality:Sar-e-Sang, Kokscha Valley, Badakshan, Afghanistan (Type Locality for Lazurite)
Description:Crystallized mass of blue lapis-lazuli, the gem variety of the mineral species lazurite, with veins of sparkling yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 7 mm. The remnants of white marble on the rear fluoresce under SW UV illumination.

Crystals:0.5-7.0 mm
