Description: | Translucent rhombohedral tan-to-pink rhodochrosite crystals to 20 mm with small yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 0.5 mm and colorless quartz crystals to 5 mm. The surfaces of the rhodochrosite are composed of smaller parallel crystal faces. Ex. A. Stevenson (1916-2007) collection #1947; originally acquired from Plummers (San Diego, Ca.) |
