Locality:Pitts-Tenney Quarry, Minot, Androscoggin County, Maine
Description:Several lustrous dodecahedral translucent orange-brown grossular garnet crystals embedded in quartz in a quartz-diopside matrix. The grossular crystals are exposed in their upper halves, the lower halves alter into the skarn matrix.
