Description: | Scepter formation of lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals overgrown on a smaller stem of colorless quartz crystal. The amethyst quartz has wispy albite subsurface inclusions. Several faces are pitted where the quartz contacted the cavity. Collected in November 2013 |
