Locality:Grube Roßbach, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany
Description:Lustrous black pyrolusite crystals to 4 mm on translucent brown-black lepidocrocite crystals to 0.5 mm lining a cavity in black oxide-rich matrix. The pyrolusite crystals are classic bladed habit with flattened rhombic cross-section. Ex. Grace Dearborn (1891-1980) collection #4108; ex. P. Scalisi
