Description: | Lustrous black babingtonite crystals to 7 mm in a cavity lined with platy translucent yellow-green prehnite crystals to 1 mm. Prehnite is rare as individual crystals, it is commonly botryoidal. Babingtonite is the State Mineral of Massachusetts. Ex Jeff Weissman collection #401; originally acquired in 2003 from Lawrence H.
