Locality:Haymarket Quarry, Prince William County, Virginia
Description:Translucent yellow rhombohedral calcite crystals to 3.5 mm on translucent pale-green prehnite on gray basalt. The calcite crystals fluoresce yellow under SW UV illumination. Note the post-crystallization fracture in the prehnite bridged by the calcite. Ex Jeff Weissman collection #1397; collected in 1989 by Brander Robinson
