Locality:Loliondo, Mpwapwa District, Dodoma, Tanzania
Description:Unusually large translucent spessartine garnet crystal with no matrix attached. The spessartine crystal is trapezohedral form with striated crystallization patterns on the faces. The spessartine varies from orange to brown. Bottom face was attached.
