Description: | Large specimen of azurite and malachite with a large central cavity lined with completely lustrous blue azurite crystals coated with minor black tenorite microcrystals. The azurite and malachite crystals are scattered on all surfaces of the specimen. Originally acquired in 1959; ex. Joseph D'Agostino (1904-1988), vice president of RCA and assistant to the founder, David Sarnoff, during the 1930s-50s. |
