Mineral:Copper pseudomorph after Cuprite
Locality:Nchanga Mine, 30 km SE of Chingola, Copperbelt, Zambia
Description:Two interconnected sharp, well defined copper pseudomorphs after octahedral cuprite crystals to 32 mm. The surfaces of the copper have a yellowish iridescence that may be secondary chalcopyrite. Sharp crystals are visible under magnification.
