Mineral:Fluorite and Chalcopyrite over Quartz
Locality:Blackdene Mine, Ireshopeburn, Weardale, County Durham, England
Description:Hemispherical knob of lustrous translucent colorless quartz crystals that were coated by lustrous transparent purple fluorite crystals to 10 mm, then smaller transparent gray fluorite crystals to 4 mm grew on top with 1 mm metallic chalcopyrite crystals. Ex. John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson
