Description:Lustrous transparent Herkimer Diamond, the variety of quartz crystal found in the Herkimer, NY region, with black pyrobitumen hydrocarbon inclusions. The bottom of the Herkimer Diamond has a contact where it was formerly attached to matrix. Collected ca. 1970
