Description:Plate of lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 10 mm over milky quartz that has epimorphic casts after rhombohedral calcite crystals on the bottom. The amethyst crystals have microscopic red-brown hematite crystals on the surfaces. Collected in January 2009 by John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson
