Locality: | Mina San José, 10 km south of Real de Catorce, San Luis Potosi, Mexico |
Description: | Earthy red-brown stibiconite pseudomorphs after elongated stibnite crystals up to 32 mm long. The stibnite crystallized first, then altered atom by atom into stibiconite, maintaining the original form of the stibnite, with remnants of stibnite inside. Collected ca. 1975-6. Ex. Croad collection |
