Mineral:Sugilite with Pectolite
Locality:Wessels Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Description:Large specimen of translucent purple sugilite interlayered with white pectolite. The sugilite on one side has deeper purple color, the opposite side shows more white pectolite. Veins running throughout fluoresce orange under SW UV illumination.
