Description: | Lustrous black prismatic 13 mm arfvedsonite crystal with complex termination on tan-colored 18 mm microcline crystal. Terminated arfvedsonite crystals are rare from Hurricane Mountain where they are commonly embedded in solid microcline. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #67, collected in the 1960s-70s. |
