Locality:Tanzania
Description:Lustrous transparent green uvite tourmaline crystal with short striated prism faces and complex termination. The tourmalines are commonly labeled as chrome tourmaline, but recent reports indicate they are chrome-free and actually colored by V2O3. Ex. W. Frech (1913-1998) collection #1175
