Locality:Mangari, Taita Taveta District, Kenya
Description:Partial crystal of green chrome-rich tremolite that clearly exhibits sectional zoning when viewed down the C-axis. Chrome-rich tremolite specimens are commonly sold as Chrome Tremolite, but this is not a valid species. From the private thumbnail-sized mineral collection of Frank Melanson; collected in 1998.
