Mineral:Aegirine on Microcline
Locality:Mount Malosa, Zomba District, Malawi
Description:Lustrous black elongated aegirine crystals to 11 mm on blocky white microcline crystals to 13 mm. The aegirine crystals show green translucency in the tapered terminations where the crystals are thin and allow light to pass through.
