Locality:Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah
Description:Sharp brown goethite pseudomorphs after striated cubic pyrite crystals up to 30 mm across. The cubic pyrite crystallized first, then altered molecule by molecule to goethite maintaining the original shape of the pyrite. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #BL486; acquired in 1940 from Schortmanns
