Description: | Large translucent golden-brown scalenohedral calcite crystal with flattened rhombohedral faces on the termination. The surfaces of the calcite crystal are composed of smaller parallel calcite rhombohedral faces that vary from white to golden-brown. Ex. Mort Metersky collection, director of International Calcite Collectors Association; originally acquired from Robert P. Bates (1926-2008) |
