Locality:Height's Lodge Pocket, Screel Hill, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland
Description:Lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 15 mm brown matrix. The amethyst crystals have scattered microscopic red-brown hematite crystals on the surfaces and one area is overgrown with colorless quartz crystals to 1 mm. Collected in January 2009 by John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson
