Description:Lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 15 mm gray matrix with epimorphic casts after rhombohedral calcite crystals on the bottom. The amethyst crystals have scattered microscopic red-brown hematite crystals on the surfaces. Collected in January 2009 by John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson
