Description: | Plate of silky black prismatic manganite crystals to 14 mm with partial overgrowth of bladed pink-to-white barite crystals to 8 mm. The manganite crystals are all terminated with parallel faces. Hurley area includes the Cary, Germania and Windsor Mines. Ex. Michigan College of Mines #D402, ex. Robert B. Gage (1875-1946) acquired in trade in 1907 from John A. Manley (1861-1936) |
