Description: | Lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 4 mm that crystallized over a 45 mm rhombic crystal that dissolved leaving a mold on the rear where lustrous pale-pink calcite crystals to 20 mm formed. Note the healed crack in the quartz epimorph. Ex. Mort Metersky collection #Si-259, director of International Calcite Collectors Association; originally acquired in 2001 |
