Locality:Osilo, Sassari Province, Sardinia, Italy
Description:Gas cavity in gray basalt lined with bluish microscopic quartz crystals plus translucent red-brown epistilbite crystals to 4 mm and transparent colorless calcite crystals to 5 mm. One calcite crystal face is incomplete where the cavity was split open. Ex. Mort Metersky collection #Ca-707, director of International Calcite Collectors Association; originally acquired from G. Bichi (Firenze, Italy) in 1991
