Locality:Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Large pale-green amazonite crystals, the green variety of microcline colored by lead impurities, to 50 mm with lustrous transparent smoky quartz crystals to 12 mm embedded in the surfaces of the amazonite crystals. Amazonite is rare in New Hampshire. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s.
