Description: | Typical old Pencil Ore specimen of lustrous reddish-gray metallic hematite crystals in an arc-shaped compact crystalline mass with brown convex kidney ore-type surface on the outer faces. The locality was painted on the specimen along one edge. Ex. Mort Metersky collection, originally acquired in 1951 |
