Description: | Lustrous 29 mm scalenohedral violet-pink cobalt-rich calcite crystal with two hemispherical groups to 5 mm of fibrous malachite crystals. The pink color of the calcite is caused by cobalt impurities and these are commonly labeled as cobaltian calcite. Ex. Mort Metersky collection |
