Description: | Lustrous black-metallic magnetite crystals intermixed with translucent white calcite. The magnetite crystals are the unusual dodecahedral form, not octahedral as usually occurs. The Jones mine operated for 100+ years and closed in the early 1900s. Ex. Lucile Squier (1905-2007) collection #1209 |
