Locality: | Tourmaline Prospect 100 m. west of Biermann Quarry, Bethel, Fairfield County, Connecticut |
Description: | Unusually large doubly-terminated black dravite-schorl (testing is required) crystal with no matrix. The tourmaline is tapered, with three-faced pyramidal terminations. This is the best tourmaline I collected at this locality, now closed to collecting. Personally collected in 1993; JHB#345 |
