Description: | Lustrous dark smoky quartz crystal, with suture patterns on the prism faces indicating twinning following the Dauphiné Law of quartz twinning, plus a 10 carat 29x19 mm faceted smoky quartz gemstone. The smoky quartz crystal is nearly flawless internally. The gemstone is drilled with a small hole suitable for mounting in jewelry. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s. |
