Description: | Translucent pink muscovite pseudomorph after an elongated elbaite tourmaline crystal exposed on one face of milky quartz. The elbaite crystallized first, was enclosed with quartz, then altered to muscovite while maintaining the elbaite form. Ex. Wallace G. Levison (1846-1924) #1033, originally acquired 17 December 1892 from Gideon Bence of West Minot, Maine |
